A new White House study found that the US military is too dependent on China and other countries to provide important components for its weapons and equipment.
The report, which will be released later on Friday, calls for targeted investment in domestic manufacturing to eliminate loopholes in the Pentagon\'s supply chain that could pose a risk to national security.
While it laments the Pentagon\'s reliance on parts from several countries, the document focuses mainly on China, bashing Beijing for its \"economic aggression\" and its suppression of certain markets.

The report draws on key themes of the Trump Administration\'s Chinese principles, which have been stolen from intellectual property and forced American companies to move research and development overseas in exchange for access to China\'s vast market.
On Thursday, US Vice President Mike Pence accused China of escalating military aggression, Business theft and human rights violations, saying that China had shaped the Asian powers into a single-minded interference that was coming.
China hit back on Friday, calling Pence\'s allegations \"absurd, unfounded and defamatory \".
According to Bloomberg on Thursday, the Chinese military inserted tiny chips into Chinese-made US computer equipment as part of Beijing\'s huge effort to steal U. S. technology secrets.
