Xiaomi 16,000 Xiaomi Mi Power Bank has landed in Malaysia and Singapore since November.
More specifically, in Singapore, Mi Singapore online stores will start selling tomorrow, December 16, at twelve o\'clock P. M. and eight o\'clock P. M. P. M. The price? S$29. 99.
More than one aspect, I started to sound like I was talking about Xiaomi\'s power bank, especially after the comments and dismounting of the 10,400 mAh and 5,200 mAh versions.
From a design point of view, the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Supply Group has a lot of similarities with its smaller siblings, including an anodized metal case, which is CNC-
Made of a piece of aluminum;
Curved edges for easy operation;
The indented power button to minimize accidental pressing;
The indicator lights, unmarked input and output ports are grouped on the same white plastic plane for a clean and exquisite look.
In fact, without the Mi logo, one would think that Mi Power bank was made by Apple.
It is not entirely correct to say that Xiaomi has not improved its design.
After careful inspection, you will notice that the top and bottom edges of the power bank are slightly rounded, which means that they are now not as sharp as the other two power banks.
When the battery capacity is 16,000 (
From famous brands such as LG and Panasonic)
This is also Xiaomi\'s biggest power bank so far.
At a height of 145mm, it is 60% higher than its 10,400 siblings; but with a 60.
The width is 4mm, the depth is 22 m, and the waist is obviously thinner (vs. 77 x 21.
6mm on 10,400 mAh).
At 350g, it also weighs a lot more than 10,400 mAh, which makes the scale reach 250g.
In addition to the large capacity, the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Supply Group is equipped with two USB charging outputs, thus answering my main complaint about the 10,400 mAh version.
Both ports support a 2.
1A output current, but the combined rate is fixed at 3. 6A (over 5. 1V).
This means that if you connect only one device to the power group, either Port can connect 2. 1A charging.
However, the total output will not reach 4 when using both ports. 2A;
Instead, it is limited to 3. 6A.
Did the port work as required? Yes;
In my test, each port is able to do 2 well when used independently.
1A output current.
In fact, they exceeded 2. 1A (
The voltage will be adjusted accordingly)
On many occasions
When using both ports, I usually get a combined rate of about 3. 7 to 3. 8A.
It still works even with a 4A load, but I\'m worried the port is under too much pressure so it doesn\'t go on.
In essence, everything is fine.
So don\'t get it wrong: I won\'t knock on the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Supply Group because combination 4 is not supported. 2A output.
As much as I would love to do so, I have also noticed that it is technically very, very difficult (
Long story short: hot).
Remember, there are more expensive pairs.
USB power supply group with Hardwired 2.
Ports 1A and 1A, can\'t even promise to combine 3. 1A rate. So a 3. 6A/5.
The 1 v dual output specification is really very good, especially at 29 S $. 99.
I also noticed that Xiaomi has (
First time? )
A typical output capacity is listed (over 5V/1A)
This power supply group: 10,800 mAh.
This number is important because it better indicates the number of times the power supply group is able to charge the device.
A little off the topic, know that 16,000 mAh is the capacity of 3. 75V;
Therefore, the total energy of the power bank is 60000mwh (milliwatt-hour)or 60Wh (watt-hour).
However, the output is completed over 5. 1V.
At this voltage, the capacity is actually about 11,765 mAh.
After considering the conversion efficiency of 90 to 93% claimed by Xiaomi (
This refers more to the internal circuit board)
We get a range (
10,588 to 10,941 mAh)
Close to the number of this 10,800.
Please also note that this is possible at 1A current.
During the 2 period, the total output capacity and circuit conversion efficiency will be reduced.
1A fast charging due to more energy loss.
That\'s why Xiaomi said the power bank was able to charge 3,100 mAh Redmi Note 4G smartphone 3. 5 times (3,100mAh x 3. 5 = 10,850mAh)
Instead of 5 times because it is not the case at all when 16,000 is divided by 3,100.
Not using Redmi Note?
Other figures include the ability to charge the iPhone 6 5 times, as well as the iPad Mini 2. 5 times.
Of course, these are all carried out under ideal circumstances.
Once you have considered other variables, such as the internal circuit of your mobile device and the health of your battery, your mileage may vary.
To avoid me forgetting, the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Bank keeps the 2A micro power supply
USB input for charging your own battery.
Like other power groups in the series, the AC adapter is not part of the package, so you have to supply the power yourself.
With the 2A/5 v adapter, it takes about 9 hours to exceed the cost of the power supply Group;
Using the 1A/5 v adapter, it is 14. 5 hours.
It is worth mentioning that I found it easier to hit 2A with a Samsung 2A/5 v charger than with Apple 10 w (2. 1A/5. 1V)or 12W (2. 4A/5. 2V)iPad charger.
No, fast charging 2 won\'t charge faster.
Motorola Turbo Charger and HTC fast charger 2.
0, or Samsung adaptive fast charger.
The 16,000 mAh Mi Power Supply Group also has \"nine-layer circuit protection \".
In short, it supports preventing excessive usevoltage (
Input and output), over-current (
Input and output)
Short Circuit, over
Charging/discharging and peak temperature.
In addition, it has a reset function, which is able to stop charging when an error in the charger insertion is detected.
To be honest, this security mechanism is common in power banks, but Xiaomi is highlighting it on the product page because it uses control and charging chips from the USS. -
Headquartered in Texas Instruments, the company is a major semiconductor design and manufacturing company in the world, not from unknown OEMs.
Don\'t forget that when it comes to the conversion efficiency I mentioned above, the quality of the charging/discharging IC plays an important role.
So, is Xiaomi telling the truth about the components used?
Take a look at the power bank dismantling of 10,400 and 5,200 Ma coins before.
But I can\'t help but take apart the 16,000 mAh version in order to get confirmation.
The device I tested did use the LG battery;
More specifically, 5 LGABE11865 batteries with a capacity of 3,200 mAh per battery (
3,100 mAh minimum)at 3. 75V.
The option for charging and power path management IC is still 24-pin, 4 x 4mm-
Thin QFN package, same as model 10,400 mAh.
Another TI chip on board is the USB dedicated charging port tp2513 (DCP)controller.
In short, its job is to monitor the data cable voltage of the USB port in order to identify the charging signal and provide the correct charging.
That\'s why power bank is able to adjust the output level and work with a variety of smartphones and tablets.
By the way, this controller is basically the same as the tp2514 seen on Xiaomi\'s other power banks, except that this controller supports dual usbport. The ZM (ABOV)
97 f1204smbn micro-controller also has a return;
It also exists in the 10,400 mAh and 5,200 mAh Mi Power supply groups.
However, what I didn\'t expect was that this part was marked as \"vl4tb\" and according to this excellent disassembly from China\'s expert website for battery and charging devices, it was Silergy SY7065A
As with TI qb24195, it has an efficient synchronous boost converter that supports 5. 1V at 2. 1A.
To make a long story short, the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Supply Group actually relies on q3 24195 for one of the USB outputs and SY7065A for the other USB outputs.
All in all, the 16,000 mAh Mi Power Bank has many similarities with its siblings, whether it\'s a component used or a PCBA (
Printed circuit board assembly)design.
So why is the price of 16,000 mAh twice that of 10,400 mAh?
I think this is a simple case of more expensive chips and batteries.
Remember, the LGABE11865 is new and there are five in this power bank.
Let\'s cut into the topic.
Should you get the power bank for 16,000 miles?
If you are looking for a power bank that can charge both devices at the same time, the answer is yes.
It is well designed, uses very good components and provides fast charging (
Even if two ports are used)and recharging.
Of course, with better components and technical design, it is possible to achieve higher discharge efficiency than now;
But considering the cost is only 29 new yuan.
99, I believe most users will be very satisfied with its current performance.
That is, if you only carry one mobile device, the answer becomes \"depends \".
While a larger capacity means it will last longer than the 10,400 mAh version, the added weight may be a deal --
Some people have circuit breakers.
Although having an extra USB port sounds attractive, one can\'t help but ask if it\'s better to buy two 10,400 power banks, which will provide you with a capacity of 20,800 mAh and two unlimited capacities.
1A Output, still $2 cheaper than the 16,000 mAh power supply group.
The obvious downside to this is that you also have to put up with the extra batch and combo 0.
When you are out, 5 kg weight of two 10,400 mAh power groups.
So, convenient or more capacity/better savings? You decide.
In fact, the biggest competitor of 16,000 Mi Power Bank is not two of the other brands --port offering.
To be more precise, this is a special value. for-
Electricity bank of RMB 10,400.
