PCB supply chain said the COVID-19 epidemic did not affect the stable delivery
Due to the new coronavirus epidemic, many industries and industrial chains are affected.
Such as mobile phone, due to the epidemic, the production of iPhone has slowed down, which will reduce shipments in the first quarter by about 10%. However, in Taiwan's PCB industry, despite the outbreak of the new coronavirus influenza, as China is in the stage of actively building 5G infrastructure, PCB manufacturing's shipment is still stable and the COVID-19 has limited impact on it.
Consumer end markets are volatile, New coronavirus epidemic will continue to inhibit consumer purchase sentiment, and affect the volume of mobile phone, mobile devices and notebook computer. But not in the 5G infrastructure market, as customers will only delay rather than cut orders, and while shipments are not expected to rebound to normal levels in the short term, they could do so as early as the second quarter of this year.
According to the statistics of 19 years, the total PCB output value of Taiwan in 2018 is 62.4 billion US dollars, accounting for 31.3% of the largest market share in the world, while the proportion of mainland China is 23%, which exceeds the market share of Japan by 20%, becoming the second largest PCB production area in the world.
By the end of 2018, 13 of the top 30 PCB manufacturers in the world are from Taiwan, and 5 of the top 10 are from Taiwan. They are Zhending technology, Unimicron, Huatong computer, Jianding technology and hanyubode. These PCB manufacturers are engaged in slightly different PCB application fields, and most of their customers are first-line brand suppliers in different fields.
